i've been so dead when it comes to blogging this year. it used to be so much fun and i always finding myself writing entries even when i'm tired. i have no idea where all that energy went. maybe into my new hobby... makeup! (:

sometimes i think i'm too nice
insolent, impudent, completely impossible! how is one suppose to take that lying down? i don't reckon i will. the glass is half full, not such an easy notion to fathom. we all consciously know it's better to think that way, but in reality our subconscious mind will reveal that the glass is indeed half empty. my point...? it's not always easy to look at the good/positive/incentive when the bad/negative/drawback is staring you in the face in a form of some kind.

and so it was
this christmas was real quick. in fact, the whole year was. not awesomefied but still good.. probably because i'm too caught up in my preparations for australia. did gift exchange with my ya-yas, attended christmas service with daddy and mummy, greeting cards and presents from dajie and beverley in the mail, got kristine's call from down under, milk's christmas party... it's good enough.

giver of life
i've always known that i'll want to donate my organs when i die eventually. but it was only when i saw an episode of Oprah that it sort of really got to me. it was the story of jason ray and how his organs saved 3 people's lives. while he was alive, he signed up to be an organ donor and told his parents about it. the response wasn't very encouraging of course. when the time came that the poor kid passed away due to an accident, his parents did eventually agree to it, remembering how adamant their son had been. it's a very inspiring story.. and people really ought to be more aware about such things. i hope one day oprah will talk to some marine biologist or animal activist to let people know what's happening to sharks and swallows. (ok, i'm refering to shark's fin and bird's nest). that'll be wicked la. although highly unlikely because americans don't really consume them. i like the Oprah show, it never fails to enlighten me.

perspectives
God gave us free will and choice so it's for us to decide what we like or don't like. people see things differently, sometimes it's so different i don't even know if it's the same thing we're looking at. of the numerous differences in opinion, each individual story may come in mutiple versions.. depending on the audience i guess. i've had quite a number of new perspectives this week. some were "wow".. but there was those that made me went " what the heck?!" man, i really hate this game.

food ban
over the years, i have come to accumulate stuff on my 'food ban' list. these things which i have instructed myself never to partake of are on the list due to one reason or another.

super sized
as most of you know, i'm currently doing a health and fitness module. there's one lecture where we watch 'super size me'.. well, watched portions of it due to the lack of time. it aired on arts central on sunday and i re-watched it. man, the americans are seriously out of hand. oh, they already had mcgriddles during the time of filming.. which was in 2003.

18 days to the big A's.
yesterday was the official day that we ended our school term. farewell assembly was alright.. the counsellors did put in effort. ms lee was part of a dance item with some other teachers.. and she dedicated it to us, S29. =) awfully sweet of her.. we shrieked upon hearing her mentioning "and to my S29". those around thought we were mad. most people probably forgot S29.. well, the jc1s obviously wouldn't know we existed.
being in S05 was bittersweet. maybe because S29 was such a unique class.. coming to S05 made it a little disappointing at first. luckily we(suling, hadh and i) were not alone.. joining us was kenneth and zhiwei. funny though.. we only starting talking to them when the year was ending. actually for zhiwei.. i've only started speaking to him like 2 weeks ago. haha! the girls in S05 are real angels.. what i'm trying to say is that they're all very kind and friendly people, oh, except just this one. i'll miss this class still.. next thing to look forward to now is PROM. =)
had a very 'weird' conversation with benedict today.. he was being encouraging for once. there's not so much suaning or trying to outtalk me at every sentence. thanks dude..
for those who have the time.. go check out sheila on 7. they're a band from indonesia.. and they're good! great range and all.. i'll be playing their songs more frequently now on my blog.. so enjoy.

05S05
new class for 2006. suling, hadh and i are together.. thank goodness! and there's kenneth and zhiwei who are j2 retainees. hadh was suppose to be in S04.. but we appealed.. and it was approved. yayness. the class is ok...... sigh, who am i kidding?! it's a super extreme mugger class.. whose average grades for promos last year were Cs and Ds. save me! S05 is a very obedient bunch.. not as happening as S29, but maybe it's good.. since i'm in j2 now. time to settle down and get serious about work. but for just a minute.. imagine a year spent with muggers, getting stressed beyond belief over upcoming tutorials and assignments, evening staying back in college for consultations. not to mention with hardly any friends in school, who's going to entertain me when i'm bored.. listen to me tell my boring, senseless stories and laugh..(of course by this time.. suling, mich and hadh would be bored to death by my presence already). tsk.. how disappointing, and i still thought j2 was going to be fun and totally happening. sigh. i'm still hoping for the best though.. there's certainly hope with me, suling and hadh around.
the girls in class are nice.. except one thing, there's 2 cliques among the girls.. the english-speaking and cheena group. it's very distinct.. but i won't comment much on them here.. will just give myself some more time to adapt to them. as for the guys.. they seem harmless enough, kind of boring actually. lol.. so many quiet people in this class.. even though they can get very noisy in between lessons, but they are always talking among their own groups of friends. it's a totally differnet culture from S29.
well, forgot to mention that joel's in pj for 1st 3 months. he can entertain me.. =) my dear kristine too!! hoho..
it's only the second day of school and i can't stand it already. how i wish i can get out of there like now! i'm really looking forward to NUS.. but maybe i should start planning for my common test revision first.
