beverley went back in canada. it'll be another 2 years before i see her again. i'm still her best friend and it's good to know. she still remembers my favourite colour.. which made me feel kind of guilty. i'm not even sure if i even knew what hers was. i need to know my best friend. haha.

went to miss clarity cafe for dinner yesterday.. lohbiao's recommandation. lovely place for a girls outing.. haha. very 'happy house' sort of theme.. it'll make anyone's day. had garlic crusted dory and mud ooze. good stuff i tell you. for those who want to visit.. it's at 5 purvis st, #01-04, just opposite national library.

the juniors played canon in d for this year's concert. got me thinking.. maybe i should ask my fellow handbellers to play that during my wedding. man, how cool is that?!

well, it's a thought.

beverley is back! and she's going to be here longer this time. for those who don't already know.. bev is my best friend. met up with her yesterday. she got me the most beautiful earring holder, which she promised 2 years ago. haha..THANKS. her mum treated us to lunch at 'rice table'. bev's grandma was there too. after that we went to cine.. bought my new shoes with the voucher i won last emerge. it's very nice! bev and i liked it alot when we first saw it. price was kind of steep.. even after discount. but heck, i need shoes badly.

bev suggested that we watch 'bridge to terabithia'. great show.. extremely sad ending though. it's been a while since i watched a movie that made me cry so much. strange they didn't do any publicity for it.. there wasn't even a single poster at cine.

2 strangers became best friends and created a whole new world of their own. they have the wildest imagination.. weird but rather cool. to come up with names like 'terabithia' and 'prince terrien'.. to me, the author is cool without a doubt.

friends. they must be one of God's best creations. in life, many will cross your path, few will carry on the journey with you. i consider myself lucky to have found at least one friend. maybe i have more that one.. but there's always only one friend with me at certain critical points in my life. they seem to rotate.. but it's usually just the good old ones.

beverley is my best friend.. or so we were. she's now living in canada, migrated almost 2 years ago. i still consider her my best friend because she's very dear to me. we ain't as close as before.. but i guess it can't be helped. to those who don't know our history.. this should save your confused minds.

bev's my schoolmate in mgs. the first time i met her was during a pe lesson in sec 2. i was in 2H, and bev was in 2T. it was near the end of the year.. around september i think. we were doing soccer for pe.. and that week, our teachers decided to let both our classes have a friendly. so, my team ended up playing against her's. so here's our first meeting. we didn't really talk until the ball was kicked way out of court that someone had to go retrieve it. it was only then, bev came up to me and ask "hi, did you rebond your hair?". haha.. i was quite stunned by her question, but i still replied her. that lead on to us talking subsequently as the game went on.

our first encounter was quite special in a sense,because we cliqued really well. like as though we already knew each other. after pe.. we were still chatting on the way back to class. our classrooms were just beside one another.. haha, what an amazingly fantastic coincidence. we sort of ended our conversation and i was going to enter my class. suddenly i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned around and saw beverley. she came to ask for my number.. how sweet is that?! when she gave my her number, she ask if i know how to spell her name. i gave it a shot and i was wrong. "it's b-e-v-e-r-l-E-y.. not beverly. my name's not very common".haha.. she left a pretty deep impression after that day. well, God knows how but in the next year.. both of us ended up in the same class. =))

our friendship grew from there. it was really funny.. how our relationship changed over the months. everyone had the idea we were really good friends, some assumed we were best friends. then one fine day, bev asked.. "kristy, am i your best friend?" lol.. that statement started a conversation and at the end of it, we were best friends. haha.. yar, it sounds really dumb. sec 3 already and we're still behaving like primary school kids. of course it's not as simple as it sounds.. but we've been through alot to establish our friendship. we spent time together, talked about everything under the sun (and i mean literally everything!). we see each other 5 days a week.. but yet, we can still have conversations that last for hours during the days we don't see each other. she was thoughtful and caring and sweet.. the things she did for me touched my heart.

of course like in any friendship.. we had our share of quarrels too. we still disagreed on some things.. but usually it'll just end off with us moving on to another topic. i can only remember one major fight that we had which left us on a cold war with each other for days. definitely not easy during that period.. we didn't speak a single word. everyone in class could sense something wrong immediately. they tried to make things better but their efforts were futile. it was only after the 5th day(i think), that bev tried to interact with me. i, on the other hand, was being a ridiculously, irritating retard. i'm rather ashamed to say but my pride sort of got in the way. i eventually gave in too... well duh! i miss her so badly lah.. after this incident, we became closer. well, thank God i have such an understanding best friend.

even until now, when people ask who's my best friend.. i'll tell them "beverley". it's kind of sad when a strong relationship starts fading.. sigh. initially, bev would still call me at least once every 2 months. but soon.. the calls reduced. it's impossible to keep myself updated about her and everything that's going on in her life.. and that saddens me.

there's this one time.. i saw her on msn. she asked, "am i still your best friend?". "of course.. you'll always be my best friend!", i answered. then she explained that in one of my photos on friendster, the caption was 'best friend's baptism'(it was huiying).. so she thought i had a new best friend. hahaha.. so i clarified matters with her because she seemed quite upset that she wasn't my best friend anymore.. oh, this was just this year. haha.. have you met anyone as lovely as her?

hmm.. i just realised this summary is becoming a wee bit too long, maybe i ought to just dedicate this entry to beverley. well, bev does still come back to visit sometimes. she just came back during july last year.. hope she's coming back soon!


last july, when she came back. we were at her granny's place. her parents invited me over for dinner.. =)

happy chinese new year guys..!! eat lots of ba gua and get lots of ang bao... yay!

met up with bev in the morning.. just to take neoprint. haha.. this is the last time i'll be seeing her.. until at least 2 years from now.. sob! our picture turned out nice..!! yay..

went for service after that.. pst sy rogers coming this week! great word.. many gave their hearts to Jesus too. cg went to jp to fellowship after that.. it was a fun day, but i'm feeling quite bad now because i didn't mug today. haha.. nevermind.. it's saturday.

went over to bev's granma's place in the evening.. her ganny insisted i stay for dinner, so i did. we spent our time just talking.. haven't done this in ages. after dinner.. bev's mum asked me to try some jelly beans they got from canada. i personally don't like jelly beans.. but she made me try them. it sort of reminded me of 'every flavour jelly beans' from harry potter.. haha! they didn't have 'every flavour'.. only 45. it was quite fun lah.. because bev was told to pick 10 randomly for me to try.. and i had to guess the flavour. rather exciting i must say.. lol. i did 10.. then bev did 10. i tried another 12 after that.. haha.. i think we ate nearly 1/4 of the bag.. wahaha. such gluttons we are! oh.. i finally received my flower from bev.. after 2 years!! =) it's really pretty.. hoho. had a great time today... but we still haven't take neoprint together yet!!! arghh... hope we can go take tomorrow!

went out with beverley today... sort of to celebrate her birthday.there wasn't much time because i eneded at 3.30pm, so we just walked around PS. she got $100 from her dad for her birthday present lah... wah.. i'm jealous man. we both bought a top from BALENO.. only $6!! haha.. then we walked some more. came to ESPRIT.. and she bought this really cute bag that was on 50% discount.. not including the 10% additional because she's a member. told her that suling and the rest knew about her.. and she got quite excited.. haha. maybe i'll introduce them someday. oh.. we're going to watch 'charlie and the chocolate factory' together!!! yay.. but today's time together was really short.. just wanted to wish her happy birthday personally. =))

beverley's coming back today!!! (for those who don't know.. bev is my bestest best friend in the world) anyway, told her to call me the moment she can after shetouch down.. but i didn't receive her call all day. and now it's already night.. sigh. can't wait for her call! she's going to celebrate her birthday with me and peiyan!!! hahaha... yay =)
got so many people's birthday this month. jiayan's today.. tomorrow got xiu, huiying and walter. next week got 4 more people!!! argh... i will go broke!
