happy easter 2013

the long weekend is here! and i really mean long considering study break starts after today. sadly, it will be no holiday for me. 2 assignments and a presentation awaits me once the break is over.

i had planned to 'celebrate' this easter by attending the easter service at south city church but things didn't go according to plan because of.. let's just call it 'unforeseen circumstances'. so to make myself feel less guilty, i watched chc's easter drama online. even after 12 years, i still enjoy watching the drama every single time(i will admit not so much the message though). still, easter reminds me of how much Jesus really loves and that i will always be thankful for. 

so to my beloved Jesus, thank You for laying down your life for mine, for showing me that i matter and for helping me believe that i deserved to be loved. have a great easter weekend everyone! 

retail therapy

went for yet another retail therapy and this session is not cheap. ): but the pleasure and comfort it brings.. sigh, how to not succumb? yea.. you didn't read wrongly, it's "yet another". previously bought 4 dresses and a skirt from emily. shades and a dress from forever21. then there was tanks and flip-flops from cotton on and leggings from topshop/dorothy perkins. now it's city plaza..

i shared with dajie about my slightly compulsive behaviour and promised to 'show' her my buys. so yea.. here's what i wore to church today.

it's building fund season and pastor shared about getting out of debt. he shared one verse in the bible that went, "stupid people spend money as fast as they get it". then pastor told us to turn to our neighbour and say "he's not talking about me". rickson was on my left and he told me i got the guilty look (hmpf!). i admit i'm spending more because i have an extra source of income. however, i'm not stupid. i do set aside a sufficient amount for various things and i do budget when i shop. but yeah.. building fund again. time for breakthrough.

oh, i saw cheryl after service and i told her i've been wanting to buy one of her checkered dresses. she'll bring it for me next week. hmmm, last one.. i promise! (:

blink of an eye

long but rather fulfilling week.. beside exams of course(yes it's long.. but not fulfilling in any way). completed the basic level strength and conditioning course last weekend. it was essentially what we learned during HMES1103 but it was still useful knowledge. vivienne gave us a private tour around ssc so that was cool.

FOP this year was... like that. first time i heard parachute band and i quite like their drummer and bassist. especially liked the times when both bands are up on stage playing together. it's wicked to see both drummers smashing it out!

yea.. i went for the autograph session. i'm not a big fan.. but i will say their music is good. especially like the new song 'living rain'.

another 21st party that came up. primary school buddy. boy, the memories it brought back.. i mean literally. she prepared photo albums for her guests to view.. and even brought out those neoprint-sticker books. god forbid anyone should ever lay eyes on them but i guess we need to laugh at ourselves some times. i'm sure you can recognise who's who. ade's cake was from bakerzin.. it's seriously the cutest 21st birthday cake i've seen. haha! and the purple dress is purely coincidental.

more recently, sushi buffet was fun and i finally bought my crumpler. new canele outlet beside shaw.. so ben and i bought a little something for dajie from one of her favourite shops.

dajie is leaving for sweden tomorrow. man, the countdown's nearly over. as usual, i will not cry at the airport, just like that time when she went to UK for her student exchange. well, the only difference probably is that the last trip was only 6 weeks, this one will be.. erm 150 weeks more! i will miss her SO much.

overall champions! i'm extremely proud of everyone (:

finally watched phantom of the opera. everything was fantasic.. from the costumes to the props, backdrop and lightings. it was all like i thought i would be. the whole show was so magical. effects and all were brilliant. i don't have to say much about the singing.. it was wonderfully enchanting. there's really nothing like watching the show 'live'.. hearing the songs on tv was cool.. but to see it with my own eyes. gosh.. it is really breath-taking. had food poisoning though.. so that sort of ruined my day. think it was uma uma men that caused the diarrhoea. but luckily i watched the musical.. it was definitely worth all the discomfort and pain, not to mention being only 'half-dressed'.

first week of POS. not bad i should say. practised the dance steps like mad.. managed to learn it in 2 days. haha.. for that i'm very proud of myself! (: swimming and track events next week. well.. see what happens then.

EMERGE 2006.

won $70 NIKE voucher.. came in 2nd for 1500m. was aiming for 1st but my competitor was really strong. talked to her during prize presentation.. her name's aileen.. and her cca is cross-country!! patrick did well.. won $300, 1st for 3 events. he doesn't run.. he flies.

anyhow.. JC/CI cluster won overall champion again. yayness. i want to take part is CS next emerge. that'll be cool.

this weekend was physically tiring. night sessions were 4hrs 30mins.. had to wake up early to go queue up too. the sermon was the same as last year's.. with a bit of additional stuff. but the presence of God was strong. especially enjoyed the sunday morning session.. the anionting was tremendous. heard pastor kong prayed for jc and ite students on friday morning session! argh.. missed it because i was at school!


many things are on my mind.. some are good, some are not-so-good. it's making me emo. i'm too tired to think.. i'll let the Lord take care of it.
