peiyun came to visit for a week! although her visit was mostly(ok, solely) to see hongwei, it was nice to have another familiar face around.

late night suburb shopping on thursday! yay.. i haven't got the chance to see the malls in the suburbs. we went to westfield carousel. it's huge i tell you.. sort of reminds me of IMM. haha!

pow met his uncle for dinner on friday night, daren and i were invited. erm.. ok, not really. we sort of just tagged along. the food was really good.. nice bread, fresh salad, and the meat.. wah. it was nice meeting uncle peter, uncle TC and aunty shan shan..

the inauguration of president-elect barack obama. US's 44th president is officially swore-in. yay for PRESIDENT OBAMA!

samantha came back from the philippines today. her flight was delayed so elger, dan and i played games(draw without looking) to kill the extra hour. sam had a big mac craving after she landed so we went to the macdonalds 'where the fraternity began'.

quite another lazy sunday for me. but today's the kind i like.. not one of those that gives a dreadful feeling. did one of my favourite things.. watched dvd, erin brockovich to be specific. (: really funny.. i like. was also blog-browsing.. and i came across an entry that really touched me.

i secretly admit that it made me tear but i couldn't help it. that was one very powerful public confession. thank you.

milk media's christmas party is in the midst of brain-storming. quite excited about it.. it's going to be super awesome if the plan follows through. oh, we're going to do christmas cards too.. and the mock up is looking really good. (:

this one is really freaking funny!! i laughed so hard when i saw it the first time. elger, who was watching it the "don't know how many" time, was also laughing as loudly. haha..

there's still alot more but.. well, i don't think it's very appropriate to load them up here. jimmy kimmel and sarah silverman got me good man. haha! oh, daniel brought FFVI dvd to office last friday, so that very sian afternoon.. we gathered around and watched scenes from the movie. the animation is fantasic! i wasn't aware how much detail goes into it until dan explained. it's fun to work in a design company.. i learn something new everyday. told you i have cool bosses. (:

daniel gave me a lift to yishun stadium today and i stayed back to watch his match since i had time on my hands. (sidetrack: oh, everyone in milkmedia plays basketball.. except tyler. milk has its own team can!) dan's actually quite good.. just a tad violent. having seen him play, it got me wondering how elger will perform on court? haha!

been working for slightly more than a month now. all i can say is i'm very appreciative of this job. there's long lunches(or 'free flow' of break), funny emily, bulli-able bosses(daniel and elger) and the unbelievably awesome fact that i can report to work anytime(well, technically it's 10am la).

since we are a design firm.. daniel decided to make our office look more 'design-ish'. he drew very interesting stuff. scary but interesting. it's a nice drawing la.. just simply because i can never produce something like that. i can't imagine anyone else who can actually. a bull with tits, man with udders on his head and a 樱木花道 look-alike(i'm assuming).. it can only be dan. emily drew the jellyfish and lemon.. haha. yes, the mushroom-looking thing is the incomplete jellyfish and daniel had to go and 'poke' it.


elger's work. my jaws dropped when sam(elger's girlfriend) told me it was done by him. don't see he like some goofy slacker, but his drawing is damn impressive la. erm, ignore the mess you see. we were in the middle of some mini production. it's not usually like that.

office is like 2nd home.. so no shoes allowed.

i'm liking my cosy 'messy' table. tyler just hangs around our table if he's ever in office.

daniel wanted to print sticker for his ez link card.. so we all printed stuff too. audrey hepburn makes a very good display picture. (: just for my second sticker, i'm going to get another ez link.. haha. serious.

the countdown is almost over.. i don't know to feel happy or sad.

yada yada yada..

since 080808.. i've been glued to the tv almost every other day. it's times like these when i REALLY wish i have cable tv. throughout the whole olympic season, i've caught swimming, volleyball, hockey, basketball, taekwando, marathon, table-tennis and handball.. plus a bit of athletics. i must say the hockey matches were simply out-of-this-world. didn't manage to catch alot of matches but for the few that i did.. man, it was (!!). their hits were damn powerful la.. and short corners were nearly almost perfect. honestly, this is the first time i've enjoy the olympics that much. again, probably much to do with my course. but it's all over now.. and i will say it's definitely one hell of a competition. singapore winning the silver medal in table-tennis was surely a glorious moment! i seriously think they did well. at least now singapore appears on the medal tally board.. we're ranked 81st in the world. that's a sure start. out of a population of 4.5 million, 25 were selected. i say a silver is more than good enough. well done team singapore!

i've also recently started my new job. it's an extremely FABULOUS job in my opinion. i now worked at milk media as.. hmm, i haven't really thought of what to call myself. my bosses are twits(probably except tyler) and my only fellow colleague is possibly the most fun person to work with in a design firm. it's literally 2nd home for them.. well, i still need some getting used to. first week is over and i'm quite enjoying myself. especially love lunchtime! haha. not just because it is break but because of all the silly things emily and i do after eating. daniel(one of the twits) said we'll have to come in costume on halloween.. like seriously. i'm abit worried la but it does sound like fun. we'll see how things go.

and i do not have to tell you.. but iPhone is out! i'm really super tempted to get it. only problem now is that i will have to change provider. argh. iphone iphone iphone iphone iphone iphone...... sorry, pardon my insanity.
