this is absolutely my favourite song right now. i think the lyrics are beautifully awesome, don't you? 方文山 is really a genius, if only my language was stronger then i'll be able to fully appreciate its meaning. such things are what interest me during chinese literature tutorial back in jc days. yea.. i took chinese 'A' but only for 6 months before i decided to drop it. the language portion was quite a drag.. mainly because i don't like the teacher. my literature teacher, on the other hand, is wonderful. she makes me feel passionate about the chinese culture and language, just like how ms goh inspires me in chemistry. i would love to travel all over china someday, to see all the people and places. people always label me as 'jia kantang'.. but my mandarin isn't that bad what. i'm proud to say i'm effectively bilingual (or i hope i am). well.. at least i know one person who thinks that way.

i was watching this in office. elger thought i went crazy because i started crying. it was so funny i had to control laughing out loud. it didn't work in the end because i was bursting out in "ha ha ha"s that were accompanied by tears. seriously.. no pair can beat ryan and colin (oh, tim and andy may stand a chance). it feels good.. haven't released my emotions like that in a while.

elger jio-ed the milk people for movie together.. we decided on 'lakeview terrace' because daniel already watched madagascar 2. in the end, daniel PANG SEH!!! i thought the movie was not bad. samuel l. jackson's performance is wicked.. he's probably the only black actor who can pull off such an attitude. we dinnered/suppered at HK cafe then headed home. i was checking my email as per normal, thinking i'll just clear all the notifications from fb and friendster.. BUT to my extremely pleasant surprise...

old school.

gone are those good old days when you just play and have fun. was just youtube-ing some old shows and man, i miss them. back then, channel 5 was all i needed.

don't ask me why.. but i used to love tv advertisements in primary 1. mummy couldn't understand how i can watch and forget the time to go down to wait for uncle poh's bus. the nicer ones are cookware and cleaning products.. exercise machines are boring.

i love primary 2 because i was in morning session and there were all these awesome shows to look forward to in the afternoon. bewitched.. my all-time favourite classic. i'd rush home to watch this everyday besides days when there's house practise.


you can see all of the main characters in this clip.. although the guy playing darrin in this one isn't dick york. back then i was watching the earlier seasons that he did. i love endora.. and samantha.. and tabitha. aiya.. i just really really like this sitcom. can somebody buy the dvd boxset as my christmas present?

the family went out for dinner at vivocity. nobody could decide on what to have.. so i suggested mussel guy's since i've always wanted to try it.

the unexpected are doing their first performance at timbre@artshouse. the keyboardist cum violinist is a 'friend' of daniel's.. so we decided to go hang out. music was good.. just that the sound guy was new so the system wasn't working all that well. still, i thought they played fine. joan(dan's friend) is very sweet.. got a chance to talk to her when she joined us during the intervals. one of my favourite songs of the night was 'sweet child of mine'. their cover was not as rock but still rocking.

in case you were wondering, yes.. this is the joker-lookalike from my halloween post.

good for me

so much to do but so little time. a part of me wants to be in australia right now, yet there's also the part which wishes i have more time to settle everything on hand. the processing is taking a while.. there's a possibility registration for hostels are already closed. then i'll have to find a room outside campus to rent. that worries me.. because i cannot cook. but the rest of the staying off-campus idea is quite alright.

i've been hanging out with various ones lately.. and i think i'm very blessed. though i don't quite get why people always try to annoy/pick on me, but they'll almost always make up for it in one way or another. the start of this week has been pretty good. i like receiving compliments.. kind words can really make a difference.

late nights.

my first halloween.. rather exciting even though i wasn't exactly dressed up. went to night safari with daniel and the zenitant people (aka donny and gang). dan also didn't dress up and he couldn't stand being so human on halloween, so he bought face paint. donny and i decided to join in the fun as well.

daniel: "i was thinking.. wah, he must be freaking short to dress like that la!"
so cuuuutte.. i wanted to bring them home.
chill out session on saturday night at timbre's... goodfellas were playing again. (: the lead has got undeniably good vocals (and he's not fat la!).


tim convinced me to come along even though i don't know yong, 'richard', 'jane' and 'whats-her-name'. he is very funny.. and i realised he got nice voice. haha.. for "in my place". only problem is.. tim's slightly tone deaf. we literally 'lepak one corner'.. and it was fun la. hmm.. make that 'funny' instead. thanks my dears.. i had a lovely night.



another lazy sunday with myself at coffee club.. i really could get use to this.
