margaret river day 1

mid semester break this time round is really late due to Unigames. it's held in perth this year so our break was in week 10 rather than 7. anyway, having the break so late almost killed me. it's not easy mugging and stressing for 9 weeks straight. when our break came, i couldn't be happier. the gang even planned a road trip to celebrate. (:

margaret river.. here we come! i took the first driver, so was driving for about 3 hours before we arrived. margaret river is called a shire instead of city/town.. which i think is cool.

simple little shire.

at least it's more lively than lancelin.

by the time we settled down and had lunch, it was almost 4pm. so no more time awasting... off to the wineries.

first stop: xanadu

i bought 2 dessert wines.. fortified shiraz and semillon sauvignor blanc. both are very sweet and doesn't have an over-powering alcohol taste, very my type of alcohol because i can't drink for nuts.

next: voyager estate

super pretty estate.. with the white buildings and all. very scenic location.

even the toilets also so chio can!

didn't buy and alcohol here, although i did get grape juice! (:

last stop: leeuwin estate

well, we reached the place at 5pm so we just walked around the place and took photos.

will come back again tomorrow.

since there was nothing left to do, we went to visit one of the beaches near where we stayed.

so beautiful right? just in time for sunset.

dinner for tonight was fish and chips.

everything closes super early and the shire is so small, so there's really no where to go at night. and we scared we might ran into kangeroos if we drive out so late.. so we just stayed home and played card games. visiting the lighthouse and caves the next day.. so stay tuned.
