sydney day 1

me playing games on my iphone because our flight was delayed.

after 3 hours and very little sleep... we have arrived!

hello sydney!

our ride to backpackers.

poor me, living with 4 other guys! you can tell it's guys living in this room the minute you enter. i mean, i can literally smell dirty socks just standing beside my bed. we're taking the bunk at the other corner of the room which gives me more 'private' space. enough on that, we then went to meet kristine!! coincidentally, her hotel is just across the road from mine. (: first time meeting edmond... very nice guy. first stop... 朱妈妈 for breakfast.

i got excited because we don't have trams in perth.

sydney's chinatown.

oyster mee sua and tau huey with you tiao. yum!

slow stroll to darling habour.

lindt chocolatier.

we stopped for a drink because i was so tired. let me explain.. our flight was the night before at 11.55pm. the plan was to catch some sleep on the plane, arrive in sdyney at 6.10am (sdyney is ahead by 2 hours) and start our trip. i barely slept on the plane, so by early afternoon i was already shagged. anyway, the chocolate was good. i ordered hot chocolate and here's edmond teaching me how to drink it.
i was only meant to pour some of the chocolate but i went for the whole cup.

the thickest(and most delicious) chocolate drink ever.

we spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the city. i was still as tired as hell but i couldn't resist the shopping.

stopped by ajisen for lunch.
i know.. it's nothing special. but we don't have ajisen in perth! i miss volcano ramen.

after lunch we went separate ways because krist got to settle their ticket back to canberra. so pow and i continued walking on our own.
isn't this the fanciest mac you're seen?

dinnertime! edmond made a reservation for hurricane's.. so back to darling habour we went. oh get this.. during world cup they actually constructed a floating platform with a big screen along the habour so that people could watch the match. and it seemed like a pretty big event.. with decorations everywhere.

cutest couple ever. and yes, there's a bib for everyone who orders ribs.

pow's full rack.

my ever-so-delicious steak. YUMS (:

the night was still young(relatively).. so we decided to take a walk to star city.

as you can imagine.. the first night back, i ko-ed instantly. still, it was a great first day in sydney don't you think?
