coldplay's viva la vida tour. i'm really glad i went for it! they were awesomefied.. and i did have a blast.
inside burswood dome.

the ticket stated 7.10pm.. but the sign outside at the entrance says it starts at 8.30pm. but lucky we came early, if not...
i was standing behind these twin towers, as pow called them.
finally after almost 2 hours...
'yellow'
they performed this song really well.. even though it's a really old song.
one of my favourites of the night.

'viva la vida'! another favourite of the night.
the timpanis. it was just like in the mtv.. lovely!
'lost' & 'speed of sound'
performing 'green eyes' in the midst of the crowd.
this one was special. after 'speed of sound', all the members left the stage and walked towards the stands. they went up to the seats along the left slope and started picking up their guitars and mics. very nice acoustics for this segment.. i thought it was brilliant. oh, remember the ball thingy hanging from the ceiling in one of the photos before? it's actually a spherical projection. cool huh?!
the final 2 encore songs...
'scientist'
this is pow's favourite coldplay song. he was waiting for it the whole time. lucky they "saved the best for last".
a short clip i took when the song was ending.
'life in technicolour'
i don't think i listed all the songs they performed.. but i'm just glad they did many previous hits. pity they didn't do 'what if' or 'sparks'. the concert started at around 9pm. by the time it ended.. it was 10.45pm. despite the long wait listening to opening acts (decoder ring and mercury rev - whose music i cannot appreciate), the 90 minutes with coldplay on stage was definitely worth it. yay to pow, who survived his first concert..
