never forget. never forgive.

met up with my favourites girls once again.. with the exception of suling. i think we're all getting quite used to it already. (if you're reading this, dearest ling, know that it's ok if you miss a few minor dates. just make sure to show up for the important ones.. such as our respective birthdays.) we sure had fun, caught the sneak preview of..

sweeney todd: the demon barber of fleet street

the music was good, in my opinion. i read several reviews and some commented that the music isn't of standard for a musical. i'm not a maven for such things so it pretty much met my expectations for good entertainment. i did especially enjoy "the worst pies in London", "johanna", "my friends", "pretty women" and "a little priest". it's sadistic and all but there are still touches of humour in its script. story was only so-so but the whole production has salvaged itself because of the outstanding cast.

sweeney todd/benjamin barker. ohh, i must say that johnny depp is charming!(as usual) absolute job well done on this role.

mrs lovett. helena bonham carter is not exactly my favourite actress.. but i just love her alot in this show.

anthony and johanna. honestly, this love story isn't the most romantic one. in fact, i do feel anthony is somewhat a loser. haha! he sings and sings about wanting to rescue johanna from her solitude but ends up not having a decent plan. what a coward. pardon my tone, i don't dislike the character as much as i sound.

judge turpin. this one i exceptionally like (i was refering to the actor). love the way he uses his facial expressions.. very intriguing and rather charming. and what's not to like about his british accent?!

more from the movie..
