standard chartered marathon. my.. took the life out of me, or my legs rather. it's definitely the craziest thing i've done so far and also my greatest achievement yet. i told myself i'll never run a marathon again.. but i might just go against my own word. thinking about it.. this marathon was more than just a run. i actually enjoyed the experience.. yes, even when i thought i was going to die of over-exhaustion along nicoll highway.. i can honestly say that i enjoyed every minute running.
the most impressionable thing about the run was this caucasian couple. they had a message on their backs saying, "because our beautiful daughter who cannot walk inspire us to try". the lady had a picture of their daughter with the message. when i read it.. i was actually going to cry. it was really touching. there were other encouraging messages too.. some very cute.
"you're not tired, it's just the lactic acid!"
" :) "
"this is my dream come true"
"no tail-gating. keep a safe distance & enjoy your run."
"for him -->"
"<--for her"
my time was horrid.. but considering i didn't train, i guess it'll do. finishing this year's marathon makes me want to go for it again next year.. just to try and better my timing. my plan.. stick to half-marathon first. but eventually, i'll want to run the full marathon at least once. oh man, i think i'm nuts.
