"do strangers came up to you and said your hair very nice..? it always happens to me."
alex said to kristy while he was washing her hair. it was a typical sunny day few months back. kristy answered saying, "no. only people i know commented on it."
well, that was my reply back then but after yesterday, things has changed. i was on my way to work, and instead of taking the bus i was familiar with, brilliant me attempted taking 190 that will bring me to eu tong sen street(aka chinatown). after which, i'll have to navigate my way through the people-infested row of shophouses, not mentioning the fact that they all look the same. of course i got lost. ok, here comes the exciting part. as i was walking along the corridor, i past a tailor's. all of a sudden the guy in the shop said hello with a really wide grin. shocked as i was, but not wanting to be rude, i slowed down and said hi back. i was just about to turn my head away when he continued, "can i make you a nice chongsam?" my mind was thinking, "WHAT?!" but i replied, "no thanks." then the fellow just smiled(alright, this is it!!) and said, "nice hair you've got!". i just laughed, said thank you and continued walking forward. hohoho... so cool! a stranger said my hair is nice.. wahahaha.
well, that's that. i was only like what.. 15 seconds.. but it made my day. =)
anyway.. went out with felicia, esther, debra and carol last sunday. sort of to celebrate esther's belated birthday. i only know felicia and esther.. as for debra and carol, i've only seen them around in school, never spoke to them before. oh.. they're all my primary school friends. felicia's my best friend in primary school.. think she's the only one i've been in touch with. even after so many years.. we are still able to talk like we use to. no awkward moments or uneasy silences.
had NYDC for dinner.. the open-air one outside heeren. we decided to treat esther, but of course she didn't know. we even got oreo cheesecake for her.. with a single candle.. haha! debra and carol bluffed her saying, they're going to see what's there for dessert.. and they came back empty-handed. we got one of the staff to bring in the cake.. esther was quite surprised, and a little embarassed. we sang her a birthday song.. with her hushing us with every line we sang. hee.. didn't do much after that.. we all felt so full.. so we just walked around orchard taking photos.
our dinner... 4 oven-baked and 1 spaggetti.
that's her.. felicia.
she doesn't look very happy, does she? don't worry, she is lah.. it's just that we ask her to pose for the camera with her cake.. and she feels stupid doing it because there's so many people looking.. haha!
esther and debra..
now with carol.
christmas tree in taka.. we took a group photo(which happens to suck like anything.. we took 3 shots altogether, different people each time.. but all of them can't take good pictures.. sigh) but it's in debra's camera.
our neoprint.. haha. sometimes i wish i was back in primary school. the stupid things we do when we were still young.... lol.
